Web Site : Driftwood Caravan Site

Independent Site

We are a quiet friendly site located in the village of Kilnsea close to the Heritage Coast and at the base of Spurn Point, a unique nature reserve owned and managed by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. Driftwood is a small and peaceful tree enclosed site with five hard-standing pitches and electrical hook-ups. There is also an area for small tents. The site has a clean, modern shower and toilet building with hot and cold water. Within walking distance, (150 metres) is the Crown and Anchor pub which sells excellent home cooked food and real ales and also offers stunning views across the Humber Estuary. Next to the sea, about 500 metres away, is the Blue Bell cafe where you can buy tea, coffees, sandwiches snacks etc. There are plenty of coastal walks within the area and it is popular with cyclists too. More information on our Web Site.

Driftwood is a lovely site (and winner of my 'Best Bathroom' award!!). It was amazingly peaceful and I've rarely slept so well camping! The owners were a pleasure to deal with and we felt very welcome. Nice neighbours on the site too!

We usually stop at Bluebelll Pond campsite but here were full. Mandy welcomed us, showed us around and gave us a cold drink. Great campsite, warm welcome, we'll be back.

Directions : From Hull take the A1033 towards Withernsea until you reach Patrington, then fork right onto the B1445 towards Easington. When you reach Easington turn right at the T junction and follow the signs for Spurn Point until you reach the village of Kilnsea. From the Kilnsea sign we are just less than 0.4 miles along the road on the left hand side, shortly after the Riverside Hotel (on right). Welcome!
